Have any of you noticed that as you look around the small box you live in, how people today have this image of God as just being "out there" somewhere. Like He is in some far distant place. Like He simple created us and just left us here hanging until the end of the line is seen. I have been reading alot lately, and I am in awe by how amazing our God truly is. I was reading in Psalms today and just had to share. So please try to follow along with my random thought...

Psalms 139:7-12 reads:

Where can I go from your spirit?
Where can I flee from your presence?
If I go up to the heavens you are there;
if I make my bed in the depths, you are there.
If I rise on the wings of dawn,
if I settle on the far side of the sea,
even there your hand will guide me,
your right hand will hold me fast.
If I say "surly the darkness will hide me
and the light become night around me,"
even the darkness will not be dark to you;
the night will shine like the day
for darkness is as light to you.

How brilliant are those words. That our God is ever-present. That he is a God of here and now. That no matter where we are or where we go that we live in a world smothered in God. Drenched in God. As close as our next breath. In every place, in every moment. How simply brilliant is that. So why do we make it so complex?

It is awesome Todd!! I love that He tells us in His word that He will NEVER leave us or forsake us. Well, if He will never leave then He has to always be there, right? Thanks for sharing!

Why do I worry?

Thanks babe for reminding me that he is ALWAYS there! And giving me comfort that even when i can't be in Haiti with our son, God is there with him. I can't think of a more capable set hands for him to be in! Can you?
